★Yelp“What a hidden gem! 60 bucks for a full omakase?! This rivals $200 omakases in NYC. So glad we stumbled across this place.”

★Yelp“Nice bustling atmosphere in the heart of Miami’s design district. While the sushi bar doesn’t have the aesthetic of an upscale sushi joint, the sushi itself is exceptionally good. A nice, relaxed, vibe, with no pretentiousness. Just quality sushi.”

GGoogle“Beautiful fresh fish served quickly and simply. The chef and owner should take pride in his approach and creations. We love the omakase and the hand rolls. Our family makes it a point to visit nearly every time we come down to the Design District. Fresh, fun and fast. A gem. Highly recommend it.”

GGoogle“Authentic Israeli food owned by an Israeli. My husband is from Israel and he was impressed to find such authentic Israeli food in Miami! We had the cauliflower and eggplant as well as mezze platter. We felt we’re back on the street of Tel Aviv! All the food was flavored with middle eastern style spices. Hummus and tahini were fresh and tasty!”

◉TripAdvisor“$50 dollar omakase is unheard of, especially at the quality. The fish were fresh and basically melted in our mouths. The garnishes and flavors complicated each other. They also used real wasabi, which is rare for even "high end" restaurants. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in Miami again. The only thing was we did not know what fish we were eating or what order we should eat.”

GGoogle“Great sushi spot with incredibly fresh fish, everything we tried was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in the mouth. The ambiance is low-key and more on the fast-casual side, but it’s lively and bustling in a fun way. Another bonus is the location: there are plenty of shops around, so it’s perfect for a walk right after your meal. Overall, a great choice if you want high-quality sushi without the formality.”

GGoogle“What a gem! Husband and I came through looking for a snack and left so happy. Inside the MIA Market in the Design District, this is a great spot to grab some quality sushi (and try some omakase) without having to make a reservation or to deal with a long wait, like at a restaurant. We shared the 8-piece nigiri selection and a hamachi hand roll. The nigiri was fresh and the quality was top-notch. I've always been skeptical about hand rolls but man, their hamachi hand roll was so good. I could have probably had like 8 of those, EASY. Everything was fresh and flavorful and it was quick. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!”

★Yelp“I am always craving Chef Yasu's sushi, and admire his skills. As always, it was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite was unique in its taste, and each bite was something I didn't want to end. Do NOT sleep on this place. It's the best sushi you can find in Miami, and probably the best in the state. I'd highly recommend opting for the 10 piece omakase, and choosing a hand roll to indulge in additionally on the side. If you want some cocktails, wine, or beer to go with it then you can get them at the bar in the middle of the MIA Market food court. There are places that charge more for lesser quality and more mediocre flavors. You will not find any better place for sushi regarding price, quality, and taste.”

BRAVISSIMO DANIELE!❤️”

GGoogle“So happy I finally got to try this spot, it's been said before but it really is a hidden gem. By the end of the meal I was laughing at the tourists that were circling the market and unassumingly walking past as they were completely missing out. For the omakase - the quality to price ratio is insane. Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. Each piece had a unique flavor, and it was arranged so that you could have that omakase journey like any other place. While I would have been satisfied after the 10-pc selection, I didn't want the experience to end (and was having a treat myself day) so per their recommendation I got the hamachi appetizer and spicy scallop handroll. Unsurprisingly, absolutely delicious. I'd recommend any sushi fan coming here, or bringing a first timer here that isn't willing to splurge on a more expensive omakase. It's also great for a treat yourself occasion on your own or with a friend - you can buy some sake to drink with your meal from The Bar across from their section. It's certainly a casual ambience being in the market with other vendors, but it's still the design district, so it maintains that upscale element. I went early so I got to chat with the staff a little who were so nice and helpful. I imagine it gets a bit busier as the day goes on, seems like a fun happy hour spot. I would definitely go out of my way to come to the design district strictly for this meal again.”

★Yelp“A MUST for sushi (good sushi). This is a gem within the design district. Second floor within an eatery. The sushi chef is from sushi azabu (NYC). Enough said (a Michelin star rated sushi favorite) This cannot last long the price point is a steal. Venue (3/5) inside of MIA market. A bit confusing to find but perfect place to grab a bunch of bites from different places. Back to the sushi... this place is casual and all about the food. Go here for the sushi (it can't last at this price point). Not fancy at all and the crowd is of all sorts. If you like quiet and fancy.... Not here. Food (5/5) fresh, fantastic, GO! Omakase was amazing! Service (5/5) knowledgeable and kind service.”

★Yelp“If you find yourself at Sushi Yasu Tanaka inside Mia Market, do yourself a favor and try the ube dessert. It might be my new favorite. Layers of sweet purple yam (ube) sit over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, finished with a touch of edible gold leaf--simple but unforgettable. Altogether with tax, it came to just under $13, which felt worth every penny. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but the service was quick and friendly. The seating area is clean and spay.”

★Yelp“A DELICIOUS and affordable omakase at $59. Randomly in a food court, but who cares when that grilled otoro could bring me to tears? Plus the servers were so friendly and attentive that you couldn't get better service in a five-star restaurant. Everything was tasty, but favorites were the fatty tuna, the scallop, the truffle yellowtail, and the smoky salmon. Go here yesterday and send me some in the mail.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“The sushi here is top notch. We tried the omakase which comes with 10 pieces of nigiri and 1 hand roll. Everything was perfect, from the texture and size of the sushi rice, to the freshness and preparation of the fish. It is in a food hall but the seating and atmosphere is trendy. Would definitely recommend to anyone who takes sushi seriously.”

GGoogle“I recently REvisited Sushi Yasu Tanaka, but at their new location in B100M and it Is still, absolutely incredible! From the more intimate and exclusive atmosphere, to the service, it is truly a 100/10. The food quality, presentation, and flavors are all unique and all special in their own form. Hands down, the best in Miami!”
