★Yelp“Incredible sushi in a corner of a food court! The best tuna I have ever tried. The OMAKASE nigiri is incredible. If you are visiting the Design District this is a must!”

GGoogle“I love this place! He apparently came from a 5 star restaurant in NYC. This was absolutely the best sushi I have ever tasted. Honestly didn't know sushi could taste warm, buttery, sweet, and oh so slightly salty at the same time. The wasabi was real too. It's from the actual wasabi plant!”

★Yelp“Been coming here at least once a month for 2 years now. Best sushi in Miami in my opinion… the fish literally MELTS in your mouth, the ingredients taste fresh, and the price point is great. I always get the omakase or the tuna special. Every single person I have brought to show has never been disappointed. We are all obsessed 🤩”

GGoogle“Yes!! Am super picky about middle eastern food! We drove from Fort Lauderdale to try their food and it was worth it. Huge portions, well priced and reminds me of home! The staff were charming and helpful! Not to mention the atmosphere is spot on. We will be back! Oh we ate falafel, babaganosh, salads, sabich, humus, and a lot of other food lol! Rolling back home ..”

★Yelp“Outstanding sushi. A nigiri based Omakase had high quality fish including a tuna flight. The otoro was melt in your mouth, the rice needed more chewing than the fish. Aburi (torched) salmon belly was another home run. Don't let the food court atmosphere dissuade you from going - it's an absolute gem. Bought sake at bar located centrally - their markup is pretty high. Parked in Palm Court garage 3$ for up to 4h. MIA Market is on 2nd floor.”

GGoogle“Food here was excellent. I got the omakase, salmon sushi, and ube soybean ice cream. The hand roll and omakase selection were fresh and fantastic with each fish having its unique texture and flavor highlighted. The salmon was excellent. Nice fatty and smooth cuts of salmon with a couple being charred to add some more layers of flavor. Ice cream was amazing. The complimentary flavors of ube and soybean was a great mix of umami, salty, and sweet. Atmosphere is an inconspicuous food hall which the main staff for this restaurant being the sushi chefs.”

★Yelp“Recently going to an eating event I found Yasu Tanaka and I knew I had to get a bite. I am always on the lookout for the best sushi in Miami and this place has not let me down.... Those that know sushi know that the rice is where the magic happens but this place goes above and beyond with not only amazing rice but the quality of the fish you get is on par with what I've experienced in Japan... this is one of those places that cares about the quality of the food they put out and your taste buds will sense that love. Can't wait to visit their brick and mortar to see what other high quality items they make that can make my tummy smile.”

★Yelp“Ever since visiting Israel a few years ago and falling in love with the greatest food in the world, I've been on the hunt for Israeli or even southern Mediterranean food here in the US to at least get close to the freshness and taste of being there. Until today, I've been coming up short. Then I saw Jaffa Israeli Kitchen opened in Hallandale and told my wife this was all I wanted to do on my birthday. We jumped on one of their two mezze starters, got their beef kofta, and dairy free pistachio ice cream. ALL OF IT WAS INCREDIBLE! With their doors open to enbrace today's incredible weather, it was almost like being on the harbor eating in Jaffa. We met the owner/chef Yaniv Cohen, who was wonderful to speak to and hear how he prepared some of the dishes. Make reservations and go. You will NOT be disappointed. Hell, tell me when you're going, Ill go with you. It's definitely in rotation now.”

◉TripAdvisor“My friend and I drove to the food hall for dinner on a Monday evening. The design district was pretty quiet, but it was still difficult to get metered parking and find the place. It's elevated on the third floor of the building so we you to take some stairs/escalators to get there. I chose Miami Nice out of the other options as I wasn't particularly starving and they had much more affordable options as well as croquettas which I recently enjoyed at another restaurant recently. You get four croquettas per order and they are about the size of a large hush-puppy. They will be blazing hot on the interior, so be careful taking that first bite or you may burn your lip like I did on that molten goodness inside it. I ate all four of them and did like to dip in the mustard that they provided. I think this is more of an appetizer than a meal due to most of it being liquidy. The recipe and presentation was much different than the type I had in Little Havana. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only frustration I had was that I got a bottle of soda, but it was $6 which I would have not ordered knowing that up front, so display of drink prices would have been appreciated. One tip I have is to get napkins when you order as the tables didn't seem to have any.”

★Yelp“This restaurant is likely Miami's best kept secret. It's a culinary gem that's hides in plain sight. Located within the MIA Market, Tanaka Sensei works his sushi wizardry alongside a skeleton crew. I started with their omakase (chef's tasting) menu, and I'm telling you that if you like sushi even a little bit, you simply must come and try it. At $59 it's the best dining bargain in Miami, with 10 pieces of sushi plus a hand roll to finish. Oh, and they get everything right: the rice, the ginger, the service are all impeccable and enhance the experience. The venue itself is modest, being one of a number of kiosks surrounding the large dining area, making a sort of high-end food court. You order at the kiosk, then get a stanchion with a number on it and bring it back to your table. Service is polite and prompt. You can get tea or water from SYT, or alcohol from some of the other kiosks. My meal was perfect, but I was so amazed I had to try more. I followed up the omakase with the salmon special, which is 7 pieces each done differently but expertly. It costs $35 and is just as sublime as the omakase menu. I will certainly return as often as I can before this place moves to a new venue more fitting to its class.”

★Yelp“How amazing it is to find a delicious option inside a food hall. This sushi counter spot inside Miami's Mia Market delivers high-quality food in an informal space, with outstanding service. They have a small menu, full of fresh and quality fish, some appetizers, and Omakase (10 pieces and one hand roll). They follow the idea of keeping it simple but delicious, the staff is very nice and always helping and explaining each piece of menu items. One of my favorite bites is the Uni & Ikura hand roll, the way that the fresh Uni melts with popping Ikura makes this hand roll a piece of heaven. If you are a sushi lover this will be your favorite spot in Miami.”

★Yelp“One of my friends recommended here. To enjoy really good sushi, I need my Japanese friend!! So, we stopped by here today to enjoy Omakase. It came with 10 pieces of nigiri and one hand roll. All sushi were so fresh and tasty! We felt like we were in Japan! It's hard to get authentic sushi in Miami but this place has it. It's hidden inside the MIA market food hall. Even your friend or a company won't east raw fish, there are plenty other options. The service was a bit slow since it was a busy day. But this food hall is beautiful and while you are waiting, you could look around other places or grab a drink at the bar.”

★Yelp“Today my friend and i got to try this hidden gem located in the Mia Market and it was a 10/10. We were pleasantly greeted by Giovanni at the counter. He provided exceptional service and was very kind and patient with us as it was our first time here. He recommended us to go a la carte. Every single piece was high quality and extremely delicious i kept coming back for more! Giovanni was super attentive to us and made our experience here outstanding. I highly highly recommend!”

★Yelp“very very impressed- i've had omakase before, and this by far was the one to exceed my expectations despite the more humble looking setting and more affordable omakase. every piece of fish was incredibly fresh and fragrant - and guess what, was fairly affordable. if you are looking to eat a great tasting omakase for not too much and without the showmanship that typically is associated w/omakase, then this is certainly the place to go to.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“Great sushi for the $ money. $70 gets you 10 pieces and a hand roll of premium quality sushi. My only issue with this place is they cut the fish in the morning so if you go later on in the day say around 6 pm the fish might be a little dry. That wasn't the case with my food however. I went at 12 noon and it tasted great! will I be back ? Maybe!”

◉TripAdvisor“Nice bustling atmosphere in the heart of Miami’s design district. While the sushi bar doesn’t have the aesthetic of an upscale sushi joint, the sushi itself is exceptionally good. A nice, relaxed, vibe, with no pretentiousness. Just quality sushi.”
