★Yelp“I love this place! He apparently came from a 5 star restaurant in NYC. This was absolutely the best sushi I have ever tasted. Honestly didn't know sushi could taste warm, buttery, sweet, and oh so slightly salty at the same time. The wasabi was real too. It's from the actual wasabi plant!”

★Yelp“Beautiful fresh fish served quickly and simply. The chef and owner should take pride in his approach and creations. We love the omakase and the hand rolls. Our family makes it a point to visit nearly every time we come down to the Design District. Fresh, fun and fast. A gem. Highly recommend it.”

★Yelp“Wow, we went for the Israeli Salad and Chicken Shawarma. This is a healthy food choice place. They also welcome Vegans too. The Chicken Shawarma and Israeli Salad is FIRE. I love the taste, but me and my girl eat this salad all the time. Her mom makes good Israeli Salad to since this is here heritage cooking. Anyhow, nice owners and employees. We really felt welcomed here. I will be back again.”

★Yelp“How amazing it is to find a delicious option inside a food hall. This sushi counter spot inside Miami's Mia Market delivers high-quality food in an informal space, with outstanding service. They have a small menu, full of fresh and quality fish, some appetizers, and Omakase (10 pieces and one hand roll). They follow the idea of keeping it simple but delicious, the staff is very nice and always helping and explaining each piece of menu items. One of my favorite bites is the Uni & Ikura hand roll, the way that the fresh Uni melts with popping Ikura makes this hand roll a piece of heaven. If you are a sushi lover this will be your favorite spot in Miami.”

★Yelp“I honestly can't rave about this spot enough! It is the actual definition of a hidden gem and although, it's hard for me to want to share, it absolutely deserves every ounce of recognition! My bf brought me here for one of our first dates and now we come at least once a month and it has won our hearts for favorite place in Miami! We are huge sushi fans and there is no where that has even compared. It's in a food court type area so there are other options if you are traveling with multiple people and there is a bar in the middle that makes amazing drinks! If you want literally the most fresh and flavorful sushi in the area, it's a must visit. Could not recommend it enough and the staff is absolutely incredible. 10/10”

GGoogle“Food came out really quick, and the serving felt high quality even though it's a food mall. The server was well dressed and my food looked amazing. I didn't know what to expect, it's salmon with avocado topped with torched salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce and truffle oil. The salmon was so soft and the torched salmon on top is a great touch, it genuinely melts in my mouth and the crunchy rice crackers on top is an amazing touch. I have no idea how they made it that way but the sauce and oil blends great too, it's one of the few rolls I don't have to drown in soy sauce and can actually enjoy the taste. The actual area has a very nice vibe to it, the ambiance is great there's music playing at the bar area and there's circular overhead lights that gives a nice feel even though it's in a mall.”

★Yelp“My wife and I went to lunch at Jaffa cafe inside the food court off 39th street in the Miami Design district. It was a cute cafe and we were greeted with smiles as we sat at the counter. We ordered the turmeric roasted Head of Cauliflower and Roasted Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The cauliflower came dripping with tahini sauce and cilantro. The chef served up a side of a middle eastern hot sauce and it all tasted pretty darn incredible. Lunch was then served. Not your typical plate of chicken shawarma but a triple tiered presentation with all the typical fixings. My wife had the brisket bowl and we both enjoyed the perfectly matched flavors. Which, because of the portion sized we had a second chance to enjoy for dinner as well. We finished the meal with some mint tea with date honey. If you're even in the design district and looking for a break from the sun, check out the food court at 140 NE 39th Street. Walk between the buildings, turn left, up the escalator and walk straight back. Jaffa is the first cafe' on the right as you enter the food court space. Now, this isn't your typical "mall" food court, this is high end and well deserving business attire and not shorts and flip flops. But hey, it's Miami, that goes too. Great food pouring over with flavors and a very nice atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back to this place for seconds!!! Oh, an I ordered Chef Yaniv Cohen's cook book too! Yeah, I'm hooked. ★Yelp“Hands down the best quality sushi my boyfriend and I have had in Miami.... and maybe anywhere (we travel a lot) and we love trying all the best sushi spots! You can absolutely taste the difference. Try any of the so called "best" sushi places in Miami and then come here and you will immediately notice how the fish here just melts in your mouth. There is an obvious care put into sourcing this fish - it tastes so incredibly fresh. Just a heads up on the location: We were racing to get there before they closed and the security guards of the shopping center tried to tell us it was two streets the opposite way in a standalone building. Glad we didn't listen to them. This is inside a food hall on the second floor of the outdoor shopping mall. Come here and have the best sushi you will have in the U.S. without being overcharged all these silly prices the other sushi spots charge. Honestly, I know I shouldn't speak badly about the other sushi spots... but we spent an embarrassing amount of money on sushi the week BEFORE coming here for the first time. Never again. I could eat this sushi every day for the rest of my life - its that good. So incredibly fresh. If you've come this far: I also took my very talented chef friend (who has cooked for many celebrities) here.... he was VERY impressed and he doesn't impress easily when it comes to food. :) Can't say enough great things about the quality of fish here!”

GGoogle“I found this awesome food court on the second floor at the Design District. They have 6 other types of food here also. Foodie heaven! Well I love great tacos and this place did not disappoint me. I had the Shorty which is their slow braised short rib. This was absolutely delicious! The meat was moist so flavorful and tender. It melts in your mouth. Next was the Garlic Shrimp taco. Chile de Arbol with House chipolte aloli. Another winner! 3 nice sized shrimp with diced tomatoes with the aloli. So tasty and the shrimp were cooked perfect. I could have eaten 2 more but I resisted. They do have $3 tacos after 4pm on Tuesday. I will be back for that. They also serve Ceviche and have freshly made guacamole. Try them out you will be impressed.”

★Yelp“The quality for the price is truly unbeatable. The service is fast, and the prices are more than fair at $60 for the 10 piece omakase and a handroll. Forget Omakai and all the others and come here. The restaurant is just a stall in a food hall (MIA Market), so it's easy to roll up with a group of any size--even by yourself!--or try other things if someone in your group doesn't want to commit to sushi. It's true that some of the ambiance that come with a traditional, intimate sushi restaurant is lost. You come here for a no-frills, food-forward meal, not sushi Disneyland. If sushi Disneyland is what you're looking for, Miami has plenty of other outstanding options like Shingo and Hiyakawa.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“Best sushi spot I've had in Miami hands-down. I moved here from Southern California and also been to Japan so yeah I have high standards for sushi. We ordered 10 piece Omakase with a hand roll for $59 and it's so perfect for lunch. Next time we'll definitely try the $71 Omakase option that includes miso soup and dessert. Love the casual atmosphere in a small food court and for that, you know you are not paying for their expensive rent or decor.”

★Yelp“HotLime is by FAR the best spot to eat at in St. Roch. From the service to the food, everything is on point! The tacos are to die for and are made to perfection every time!! I'm NEVER disappointed! I'd highly recommend the chicken and short rib tacos. There's also a server/cook by the name of Gabriela, she was super patient and gave the best recommendations!!”

★Yelp“The food court itself looks and smells good. Good atmosphere and many options of food and desserts. We chose jaffa - midterranian food. (glat kosher for who ever need it) Food that reminds me of home. The colors. Taste and spices will probably make mo go there again very soon. My 2 thumbs up !”

★Yelp“I came from San Diego and was looking for a good hummus place. I was very impressed with the great service and with the amazing food! I ordered the hummus with shawarma and it came in a beautiful impressive display tray! I highly recommend it and definitely be back to eat there!”

★Yelp“Even when comparing to places that cost 3-5x more, this has the highest quality, best Omakase in Miami. I’ve been 10x here and tried Omakase in many places in Miami and NY and nowhere compares for the price.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“The photos from other people made this place look like a real restaurant. Not a big deal at all, but just wanted to mention this place is inside of a food court market. Food was good. Staff was very nice.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“Unassuming restaurant serving delicious fresh sushi in a food court. Pricey, and the atmosphere is not ideal, as it is a food court, but quality matches. I'd go again and again.”

★Yelp“The highest-quality sushi I've had in Miami. The Salmon Aburi is the best $6 you'll spend in the Design District. Quick service, fresh fish - incredible value for money.”
