★Yelp“Went for lunch on a Sunday. Place not to busy. Easy to find indoor parking. Sushi is excellent quality and fairly priced. Would highly recommend.”

GGoogle“Unassuming restaurant serving delicious fresh sushi in a food court. Pricey, and the atmosphere is not ideal, as it is a food court, but quality matches. I'd go again and again.”

★Yelp“The Mia market bar is one of the best place to start with a drink. Bruce, Aly, Mac, or Ariatna awesome bartenders. Tell them Mario sent you and they will take care of you. Enjoy your drinks and have a blast!”
Mia Market Bar
GGoogle“The best sushi I have ever had. There was a 20 minute wait for your food but it was 100% worth the wait. The fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Absolutely recommend, it is a little expensive but the quality makes it worth it.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“Located inside the Mia market food court of Miami Design District. Walk- ins only- no reservations! You order and pay up front, they give you a number and bring out the food when ready. No counter seating either. Definitely a quick and fresh bite to fix a sushi craving mid shopping”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“WOW! This place has been on my list forever, and I'm so glad I finally got around to coming here. Its casual in an upscale food hall, food comes out in 10 minutes max. It's not cheap, but it is cheap for omakase style sushi at this quality. The fish was so fresh, delicious, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and quality lunch.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“very very impressed- i've had omakase before, and this by far was the one to exceed my expectations despite the more humble looking setting and more affordable omakase. every piece of fish was incredibly fresh and fragrant - and guess what, was fairly affordable. if you are looking to eat a great tasting omakase for not too much and without the showmanship that typically is associated w/omakase, then this is certainly the place to go to.”

★Yelp“Best sushi spot I've had in Miami hands-down. I moved here from Southern California and also been to Japan so yeah I have high standards for sushi. We ordered 10 piece Omakase with a hand roll for $59 and it's so perfect for lunch. Next time we'll definitely try the $71 Omakase option that includes miso soup and dessert. Love the casual atmosphere in a small food court and for that, you know you are not paying for their expensive rent or decor.”

★Yelp“Sushi Yasu Tanaka is a true gem in the Miami Design District 🍣✨. The quality of the fish is outstanding—fresh, perfectly prepared, & beautifully presented 🐟👌. Every bite feels carefully crafted, with attention to both flavor & detail. The omakase experience 🎌 is next-level, showcasing creativity, balance, & traditional Japanese precision. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, & makes the experience feel special 💯. If you’re looking for authentic sushi in Miami 🌆, this is the place to be. Highly recommend Sushi Yasu Tanaka for anyone who appreciates Japanese cuisine 🌟.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
GGoogle“The quality for the price is truly unbeatable. The service is fast, and the prices are more than fair at $60 for the 10 piece omakase and a handroll. Forget Omakai and all the others and come here. The restaurant is just a stall in a food hall (MIA Market), so it's easy to roll up with a group of any size--even by yourself!--or try other things if someone in your group doesn't want to commit to sushi. It's true that some of the ambiance that come with a traditional, intimate sushi restaurant is lost. You come here for a no-frills, food-forward meal, not sushi Disneyland. If sushi Disneyland is what you're looking for, Miami has plenty of other outstanding options like Shingo and Hiyakawa.”

★Yelp“I found this awesome food court on the second floor at the Design District. They have 6 other types of food here also. Foodie heaven! Well I love great tacos and this place did not disappoint me. I had the Shorty which is their slow braised short rib. This was absolutely delicious! The meat was moist so flavorful and tender. It melts in your mouth. Next was the Garlic Shrimp taco. Chile de Arbol with House chipolte aloli. Another winner! 3 nice sized shrimp with diced tomatoes with the aloli. So tasty and the shrimp were cooked perfect. I could have eaten 2 more but I resisted. They do have $3 tacos after 4pm on Tuesday. I will be back for that. They also serve Ceviche and have freshly made guacamole. Try them out you will be impressed.”

★Yelp“So happy I finally got to try this spot, it's been said before but it really is a hidden gem. By the end of the meal I was laughing at the tourists that were circling the market and unassumingly walking past as they were completely missing out. For the omakase - the quality to price ratio is insane. Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. Each piece had a unique flavor, and it was arranged so that you could have that omakase journey like any other place. While I would have been satisfied after the 10-pc selection, I didn't want the experience to end (and was having a treat myself day) so per their recommendation I got the hamachi appetizer and spicy scallop handroll. Unsurprisingly, absolutely delicious. I'd recommend any sushi fan coming here, or bringing a first timer here that isn't willing to splurge on a more expensive omakase. It's also great for a treat yourself occasion on your own or with a friend - you can buy some sake to drink with your meal from The Bar across from their section. It's certainly a casual ambience being in the market with other vendors, but it's still the design district, so it maintains that upscale element. I went early so I got to chat with the staff a little who were so nice and helpful. I imagine it gets a bit busier as the day goes on, seems like a fun happy hour spot. I would definitely go out of my way to come to the design district strictly for this meal again.”

★Yelp“It may look like your average Mediterranean cuisine, but Jaffa is anything but! It's located in the beautiful Miami Design District, inside of the St.Roch Market. I wandered in with a friend on a Friday evening and saw the collections of vendors and restaurant stalls that the market had to offer. However, Jaffa immediately called my attention not only because we were greeted by the friendly staff, but the incredible aroma of roasted cauliflower, falafel, and the spices just reminded of comfort food from back home. The restaurant was filling up quickly with a line of the customer but the staff still managed to assist every guest with a friendly welcoming attitude and deliver our food in manageable time. I ordered the falafel rice bowl (probably one of the BEST falafels in Miami!!) and my friend ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl (the spices in the chicken could be smelled from afar). In addition, we shared a whole Roasted turmeric Cauliflower (which is a MUST try dish if you're stopping by) it comes with zaatar spiced tahini and their warm, delicious, fluffy pita bread. The Roasted turmeric cauliflower is such a great option for anyone, especially if you're vegan. Not only is beyond delicious but is such a healthy and satisfying dish (I could eat a whole head by myself!). When our bowls arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The falafels were nice and crispy, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The spiced turmeric rice and tabouleh were packed with flavor, and the tahini had a great consistency and very smooth texture. My friend fell in love with their chicken shawarma. The chicken was packed with wonderful spices creating such a flavorful dish. Everything in their food was filled with wonderful taste and great presentation. By the end of the meal, we were already planning our next visit with a couple of more friends. With so many chef-centric food halls that the St.Roch Market has to offer, Jaffa is truly one of my favorite spots! This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night or any day you feel like taking a break from your busy life!”
Jaffa
★Yelp“My wife and I went to lunch at Jaffa cafe inside the food court off 39th street in the Miami Design district. It was a cute cafe and we were greeted with smiles as we sat at the counter. We ordered the turmeric roasted Head of Cauliflower and Roasted Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The cauliflower came dripping with tahini sauce and cilantro. The chef served up a side of a middle eastern hot sauce and it all tasted pretty darn incredible. Lunch was then served. Not your typical plate of chicken shawarma but a triple tiered presentation with all the typical fixings. My wife had the brisket bowl and we both enjoyed the perfectly matched flavors. Which, because of the portion sized we had a second chance to enjoy for dinner as well. We finished the meal with some mint tea with date honey. If you're even in the design district and looking for a break from the sun, check out the food court at 140 NE 39th Street. Walk between the buildings, turn left, up the escalator and walk straight back. Jaffa is the first cafe' on the right as you enter the food court space. Now, this isn't your typical "mall" food court, this is high end and well deserving business attire and not shorts and flip flops. But hey, it's Miami, that goes too. Great food pouring over with flavors and a very nice atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back to this place for seconds!!! Oh, an I ordered Chef Yaniv Cohen's cook book too! Yeah, I'm hooked. ★Yelp“Ever since visiting Israel a few years ago and falling in love with the greatest food in the world, I've been on the hunt for Israeli or even southern Mediterranean food here in the US to at least get close to the freshness and taste of being there. Until today, I've been coming up short. Then I saw Jaffa Israeli Kitchen opened in Hallandale and told my wife this was all I wanted to do on my birthday. We jumped on one of their two mezze starters, got their beef kofta, and dairy free pistachio ice cream. ALL OF IT WAS INCREDIBLE! With their doors open to enbrace today's incredible weather, it was almost like being on the harbor eating in Jaffa. We met the owner/chef Yaniv Cohen, who was wonderful to speak to and hear how he prepared some of the dishes. Make reservations and go. You will NOT be disappointed. Hell, tell me when you're going, Ill go with you. It's definitely in rotation now.”

◉TripAdvisor“I honestly can't rave about this spot enough! It is the actual definition of a hidden gem and although, it's hard for me to want to share, it absolutely deserves every ounce of recognition! My bf brought me here for one of our first dates and now we come at least once a month and it has won our hearts for favorite place in Miami! We are huge sushi fans and there is no where that has even compared. It's in a food court type area so there are other options if you are traveling with multiple people and there is a bar in the middle that makes amazing drinks! If you want literally the most fresh and flavorful sushi in the area, it's a must visit. Could not recommend it enough and the staff is absolutely incredible. 10/10”

GGoogle“I thought I was in Tokyo, but it was Miami and the experience was as good as the best I have had in Japan. The ramen soup was the best I have had in the USA. The omakase was a world-class experience. Now the backstory. I was looking for a Japanese restaurant in Miami for our one-night stay. Four menus in a row had cream cheese in every roll. I prayed, there must be an authentic Japanese restaurant and I found this one. Nothing against cream cheese if I am searching for a good bagel. I was looking for the best sushi in Miami. I think this is it. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.”

GGoogle“The food hall where Miami Nice is located doesn't have cheap eats at all, but for Miami Nice's $5 dogs. This is a spectacular deal, and the fries are served with a tasty dipping sauce. We adored the woman working the counter, as she was helpful and personable. She gave us two straws when knowing we were splitting our beverage. I think this hotdog deal could easily be put on any Miami cheap eats list. The fries and beverage were an okay price. The $6 lemonade was kind of on the high end, but it was so delicious.”
Miami Nice
★Yelp“Outstanding sushi. A nigiri based Omakase had high quality fish including a tuna flight. The otoro was melt in your mouth, the rice needed more chewing than the fish. Aburi (torched) salmon belly was another home run. Don't let the food court atmosphere dissuade you from going - it's an absolute gem. Bought sake at bar located centrally - their markup is pretty high. Parked in Palm Court garage 3$ for up to 4h. MIA Market is on 2nd floor.”

GGoogle“The sushi is orgasmic. It is so fresh it's silky in your mouth, it bursts with flavors, and the service is stupendous I like sushi however, this is probably now one of my favorite spots to go to It's like leaving the US and literally visiting Japan, which I have been to.not disappointed! It is a must, do it 100% However, it does close early by 7 PM and it's in the design district. You'll love me for it.”

★Yelp“Omg, the way this sushi place is priced makes me feel like there a glitch in the matrix.. probably some of the best sushi I've had (and I eat it a lot) got the 10 pc omakase for $59 tbh if it was double that this would still be a five star review. Every piece was perfectly seasoned and ratioed and just heaven”
